　　SincetheSpringFestivalGalaonCCTVwasestablishedinthe1980s,ithasbeenconfirmedtobeahugesuccessbyattractingmostaudienceinChina.OntheEveoftheSpringFestival,numerousChinesewillsitinfrontofthetelevisionscreenslookingforwardtoenjoytheannualcelebration.

　　InmodernChina,watchingthegalaisstillatraditionalwaytocelebrateChineselunarNewYear.However,theGalaseemstobesufferingfromdecliningratesofaudienceoverthepastfewyears.Actually,theGalaisnevertheonlyoptionanymorewhencompetingwithseverallocaltelevisions,whichprovidebetterpossiblechoices.Inaddition,itiscriticizedthatthetraditionalitemsoftheGalafailtoappealtopeople’schangingappetite,particularlytheyoungergeneration.AlthoughthefamousstarsfromHongKongandTaiwanarehighlyexpectedtoaddsomefreshnessandmodernelementstotheperformance,theGalaarestillsomewhatdisappointing,farawayfromsplendid.Consequently,theGalaisadvocatedtobecancelledduetoitsdeclinationofreputationaswellasthestereotypedcontent.
