　　Goodsleepisessentialforphysical,mentalandspiritualhealth.Wespendathirdofourlivessleeping.Itisduringsleeptimethatmentalandbodilyfunctionsarerestoredandthebodyispreparedtofacethenextday.However,thevastmajorityofpeopledonotsleepproperly,whichcancauseserioushealthproblems.

　　Sleepingpoorlycancausememoryloss,depression,anddifficultyconcentrating.Inadults,thelackofsleepinterfereswiththeabilitytoassessrisksandmakedecisions.Childrenarealsoaffected.Sleepinglateaffectthereleaseofgrowthhormones,makechildrenmoreirritableandwithlessabilitytoconcentrateinschool.Also,whenwesleeppoorlyforalongtime,ourbodyundergoesphysiologicalchangesthatmayberelatedtoobesityanddiabetes.
