在非洲有一条大河,这大河里住着两条鳄鱼,大河的岸上长着许多棕榈树,大河的中心是个小岛,岛上长着许多香蕉树.有一天,两条鳄鱼浮在水面上,大鳄鱼对小鳄鱼说；“孩子、你瞧,岸上那棕榈树!”小鳄鱼一看,啊,那棵棕榈树上有只小猴子,活蹦乱跳的.

　　“孩子,这几天妈妈嘴巴淡得很,想吃点什么新鲜的.你去把那猴子捉了来,我要吃他的心.”“妈呀,我怎么捉得住猴子呢?猴子又不下水来,我又爬不了树.这事儿不好办.”“你好好儿想一想,会想出办法来的.”
