　　Expertfoundthatparent'sattitudetowardstheInternethasgreatinfluenceonstudents'Internetaddiction.Themoreparentsdisagreewithit,themorekidsloveit,andthepossibilityofthemgettingaddictedtotheInternetmightbeasmuchas3timeshigher.

　　SincelastSeptember,expertslaunchedasurveyof3,200middleandprimaryschoolstudentsfrom33schoolsof9districtsinChongqing,andnearlyallofthemhadusedtheInternet.

　　Accordingtothesurvey,themajorityofstudentswereunder10yearsofagewhentheyfirstusedtheInternet,whilein2004thesamemajorityoccurredin12yearolds.Inmaindistrictswithbettereconomy,kidswouldhaveaccesstotheInternetatamuchyoungerage.

　　MostofthestudentssurveyedusetheInternetforentertainment.Thesurveysays71percentofstudentswatchmoviesandlistenmusicontheInternet,59.4percentofthemtalktofriendsthroughQQandothersoftware,52.9percentplaygamesand50percentusestheInternettolearn.Inaddition,lotsofstudentsaresearchinginformation,writingblogsandshoppingonline.

　　Throughthesurvey,expertsfoundthat2.5percentofstudentsareseverelyaddictedtousingtheInternetandcanbediagnosedwithInternetaddiction,while2.9percentofstudentshavesuspectedaddiction.Atthesametime,expertsalsofoundthatusingtheInternetinnetbarsleavesstudentsmorevulnerabletoaddictionthanusingtheInternetathomeorataschool'scomputercenterdoes.
