　　第一句你分析的很对,thelast即“具体某一天”,所以用on,再比如：onarainymorning

　　第二句inthemorning只是泛指“在早晨”,并没有具体到哪一天.句意是：我们晚上很晚才到达村庄,早晨很早又离开了.
