Dr.SunYat-sen

　　Dr.SunwasbornasSunWenin1866inthecoastalvillageTsuihsiangofHsianshanCounty,KwangtungProvince,andlaterchangedhisname,firsttoSunYat-senand,later,duringhisrevolutionarydaysinJapan,toSunChung-shan.Raisedinapoorfarmingfamily,Dr.Sunlearnedthehardshipsofworkinglifeatanearlyageandalwayssympathizedwiththepeople'shardships.

　　TocarryoutdemocraticrevolutioninChina,SunfoundedtheSocietyforRegeneratingChinaandtheRevolutionaryAllianceandextensivelystudiedthepoliticalsystemsofEuropeancountriesandAmericainformulatingtheThreePrinciplesofthePeople:Nationalism,Democracy,andSocialWell-being.Afterfailingonseveralattemptstounitethepeopletorevolt,SunfinallysucceededwiththeWuch'angUprisingonOctober10,1911,leadingtothesuccessfuloverthrowoftheCh'inggovernmentandtheestablishmentoftheRepublicofChina.

　　Dr.Sundevotedhislifetorealizingthisdream,leavingbehind,withhisdeathin1925,alastingcontributiontohisnationandaninvaluablelegacyforscholarsandthinkers.ThislegacyincludesSun'soutlineandstrategyfornation-foundingandtheThreePrinciplesofthePeople
