Einsteinwasbornin1879inUlm,acityinGermany.Asaboy,hewasslowtolearntotalk,butlaterinhischildhoodheshowedgreatcuriosityaboutnatureandabilitytosolvedifficultmathematicalproblems.Afterheleftschool,hewenttoSwitzerland,wherehegraduatedfromtheuniversitywithadegreeinmathematics.
In1905,Einsteinbegantopublishaseriesofpaperswhichshookthewholescientificandintellectualworld,andforthetheoriesheestablishedinthepapershewontheNobelPrizeforPhysicsin1921.
BecauseEinsteinwasJewish,whenHitlertookoverGermanyin1933,hehadtoleavethecountryandfinallysettledintheUnitedStates.Therehecontinuedhisstudyonthestructureoftheuniverseuntilhisdeathin1955.
