　　Onedayarabbitwasboastingabouthowfasthecouldrun.Hewaslaughingattheturtleforbeingsoslow.Muchtotherabbit'ssurprise,theturtlechallengedhimtoarace.Therabbitthoughtthiswasagoodjokeandacceptedthechallenge.Thefoxwastobetheumpireoftherace.Astheracebegan,therabbitracedwayaheadoftheturtle,justlikeeveryonethought.Therabbitgottothehalfwaypointandcouldnotseetheturtleanywhere.Hewashotandtiredanddecidedtostopandtakeashortnap.Eveniftheturtlepassedhim,hewouldbeabletoracetothefinishlineaheadofhim.Allthistimetheturtlekeptwalkingstepbystepbystep.Heneverquitnomatterhowhotortiredhegot.Hejustkeptgoing.However,therabbitsleptlongerthanhehadthoughtandwokeup.Hecouldnotseetheturtleanywhere!Hewentatfull-speedtothefinishlinebutfoundtheturtletherewaitingforhim.
