  在我十几岁的时候,有一次我和父亲在排队买马戏票.终于,在我们前面买票的只有一家人了.

  那家人给我留下了很深的印象.那家一共有八个小孩,大致都在12岁以下.可以看得出他们并不富裕.

  他们的衣着朴素,却干净整洁.孩子们规规矩矩的,两个俩个的手拉手排在他们父母身后,兴奋地谈论着晚上将会看到的小丑,大象和其它表演.

  可以感觉到他们以前从来没有看过马戏.看来这是他们童年生活中最美好的时刻了.他们的父母非常自豪地站在一大群孩子的前面.母亲握着丈夫的手,抬头看着他,好象在说:"你是我的金甲骑士."

  他幸福自豪地微笑着回望着她,好象在说:"是的,亲爱的!"

  女售票员问那个父亲要买多少张票.他自豪的回答说:"请给我八张儿童票和两张成人票,我要带全家人一起看马戏."

  女售票员报出了票价.那个人的妻子松开了他的手,低下了头,他的嘴唇开始颤抖.他向前略微探了探身问到:"你说要多少钱?"

  女售票员重复了一下价格.显然那个男人带的钱不够.

  他该怎样转身面对他的八个孩子,说他没有足够的钱带他们看马戏吗?

  看到这一切,我父亲把手伸进口袋,掏出了一张20美元的钞票扔在了地上.(我们怎幺说也算不上富裕!)父亲俯身捡起那张钞票,拍了拍那个人的肩膀对他说:"哦,先生,这是从您的口袋里掉出来的!"

  那个人顿时明白了是怎幺回事.他并不是在乞求施舍,而是对在这绝望,伤心,尴尬的时刻到来的帮助异常的感激.他直直的地注视着我父亲的双眼,双手紧紧地抓住了我父亲的手和那20元钱,泪水顺着他的面颊滑了下来,他颤抖着嘴唇说:先生.这确实对我和我的家人很重要."

  我和父亲驱车回到了家中.那天晚上,我们没有去看马戏,但是我们丝毫不觉得遗憾.
