　　在美国,老师和校长惩罚学生的方法有多种.老师经常给学生的家长寄信或者打电话.有时候学生必须在学校里呆上一个小时.如果有一个学生表现不好,那么老师会停止上课.并且这个学生在一两天,有时三天内不许来学校.Lazarus先生,来自俄亥俄洲一个中学的校长,并不喜欢这么做.当他不允许学生来学校时,学生会很高兴,他们到会认为：这是一个三天的假期.

　　有一天,有一个男孩在Lazarus先生的办公室.这个学生表现的不好,Lazarus给他的父母打电话说：“如果你和孩子一起来学校,我将会让你的孩子来上课.”每一堂课男孩和他的父亲都来了.其它的学生看见了他们父子俩.这个男孩感觉很尴尬.在那之后,这个男孩表现越来越好了.当然,其它的孩子也一样表现越来越好.
