　　MymostembarrassingmomentwaswhenIendedupnakedonstage–thishashappenedtwice.

　　ThefirsttimewaswhenIwaselevenyearsoldandinmylastyearofprimaryschool.Ourschoolwasputtingonanend-of-yearproductionofAladdin.IwasplayingthevillainAbanazar.TherewasasceneinwhichAbanazarisholdingthelamp.Ican’trememberexactlybuteitherWishieWashieorWidowTwankeyinsistsonwashingAbanazar’sclothesandyanksdownmytrousersrevealingapairofwhiteboxershortswithlargeredhearts.IhavetodropthelampinordertopullupmytrousersandAladdingetsthelamp.

　　Unfortunatelyformeonthenightoftheshowboththetrousersandboxerscamedown.Itwasabsolutelymortifying.EvenmoremortifyingwhenIlaterrealisedhowmanyvideocameraswererecording.

　　Thesecondtimewasaboutsevenyearslater.Iwasseventeenandinmylastyearofhighschool.MyschoolwasputtingonGrease.IwasplayingRoger,theclassclownwhoenjoys‘mooning’people.ForthoseofyounotfamiliarwiththestagemusicalRogersings‘Mooning’withJan.ThesongisaboutRoger’stalentofexposinghisbackside.AttheendofthenumberIturnaroundandquicklymoontheaudience.ThiswasmildlyembarrassingbutnottoomuchasIwaspreparedforit,asitwaspartoftherole.

　　ThereisalaterscenewheretheboyshavebeenchallengedtorumblebyCha-Cha’sfriends.WemeetupandintheotherboysjokethatIcouldmoonthem.Theytacklemetothegroundandpulldownmyjeans.IrushoffstageaftertheboyspullingmyjeansupasIgo.Theaudiencelaughs.Wellthat’showitismeanttogo.

　　Everythingwentperfectonopeningnightbutonthesecondnighttherewasarealsenseofdéjàvuwhenmyboxerscamedownaswellasthejeans.Iquicklypulledtheboxersbackupandcarriedonwithabrightredface.Thisincidentwasfarmoreembarrassingthantheprevious.Whatseventeenyearoldwantstogofull-frontalinfrontofacrowdedroom?Iamthankfulthatduetocopyrightlawsthatphotographywasnotpermitted.

　　Aftertheshowateachercomplimentedmeonbeingatrueprofessionalforcarryingonwiththeshow.Thatconversationwasnearlyasembarrassing.ImadesureforthenexttwoperformancesthatIworeboxerbriefsundertheboxersincaseithappenedagain.Sureenoughonthefinalnighttheboxerssortofsliddownwithmyjeansbutthankfullynoonegotaviewlikebefore.OfcoursethiswasthetalkoftheschoolandIneverheardtheendofit.
