　　Acommunityismadeupofagroupofpeople.Anditdependsonthosepeopleforitsexistence.Itispossibleforpeopletoliveincloseproximityandfailtobeacommunity.Thatisbecausethewordcommunityimpliescommunalaction.Itisneighborsworkingtogethertocreateabetterplacetolive.Therefore,itisimportantforusalltocontributeoureffortstoourcommunity.IfIhaveseveralhoursoftimeeachmonthtodoso,Iwillworktowardcreatingandpreservinggreenspacesinmycommunity.

　　Ifeelthatpreservinggreenspaceisaworthyendeavorthatwouldbeofgreatvaluetomycommunity.ItisespeciallyimportantbecauseIliveinanurbancommunity.Theopenspacesandparksarelimitedinthecityandaretoooftensacrificedforfurtherdevelopment.Workingtoprotectthesespacesandtoestablishnewparkswouldbeawaytoconserveoneofthecommunity’sscarceresources.Furthermore,providinggreenspacesfortheresidentsofmyneighborhoodwouldincreasethefeelingofcommunityandimproverelationshipsamongneighbors.Thisisbecauseattractiveparkswouldencouragepeopletogetoutandsocializewithothersinarelaxedatmosphere.Inaddition,bybeautifyingtheneighborhood,itwouldprovidetheresidentswithmorecontactwithnature.Thiswouldencouragethemtoexerciseandleadhealthierlives.

　　Theabovearejustsomeoftheadvantagesofhavinggreenspacesandparksinacommunity.Becauseitissobeneficialtothecommunity,thatishowIwillchoosetodevotemyfreetime.Inthisway,Ihopetomakeameaningfulcontributiontomyneighborhoodandtomyneighbors.
