Aftersheretired,shestartedvolunteeringtohelptheold.Whenherfatherwasolder,hewasnotabletoseeaswellasheusedto,whichmadehersadbecausehehadalwaysenjoyedreading.
Shedecideditwouldbefuntoreadtoelderlypeopleinhercommunity.Shealsohelpedonewomanwriteherstories.Annwasalmost100yearsold,andHelenwrotedowninformationaboutherlifewhenshevisitedher.Sheputtheinformationinabookandgotitpublished.Annwasveryexcitedtoshareherlifestorywithherchildrenandgrandchildren.
