　　Slowly,carefully,Ginceppeandhismendug.ThecitylookedalmostthesameasithadlookedinAD79.Therewerestreetsandfountains,housesandshops.Therewasastadiumwith20000seats.Perhapsthemostimportantofall,therewereeverydayobjects,whichtellusagreatdealaboutthepeoplewholivedinPompeii.Manyglassesandjarshadsomedarkbluecolourinthebottom,soweknowthatpeopleofPompeiilikedwine.Theylikedbread,too;metalbreadpanswereineverybakery.Inonebakerytherewere81round,flatloavesofbread—atypeofbreadthatisstillsoldinItalytoday.Tinyboxesfilledwithadark,shinypowdertellusthatwomenliketoweareye-makeup.
