　　直到现在,经济学可以分为微观经济学和宏观经济学两大类.微观经济学是研究社会中单个经济单位的经济行为,以及相应的经济变量的单项数值如何决定的经济学.而宏观经济学则是研究经济资源的利用问题,包括国民收入、就业、通货膨胀、经济周期、经济增长、财政与货币政策等等问题.

　　至于说经济学的作用则有以下四点：

　　第一、有助于人作出更好的个人决策.因为在人的一生中,人需要作出各种各样的经济决策.而通过学习经济学可以让你更合理的分配你的资源.

　　第二、助于理解世界是如何运转.经济是一个国家的基础,它与政治都属于社会的上层建筑.

　　第三、经济学有助于理解政府政策的优劣.一个政府的政策,无论是关于福利或者军事,都得考虑到经济因素.从这个角度出发,我们就可以更好的理解政策的优劣.

　　第四、经济学可以改进人的思考方式.经济学是什么?经济学是一门研究社会的经济现象,特别是金钱和服务的产生、交换,还有消费规律等问题的社会科学.它属于社会科学的一部分.而科学则是一种思考方式.这种思考方式的作用就是把复杂的问题简单化.所以说经济学可以改进人的思考方式.
