　　由于英语的普遍很多人对

　　two-third和two-thirds的区别不清楚.

　　two-thirds

　　four-fifths

　　等等

　　是名词,并以复数形式来用,比如

　　Two-thirdsofthepeoplepresentagreewiththeresolution.

　　但是,如果“三分之二”是形容词,我们用单数形式two-third来修饰接下的名词,比如：

　　Thevotingforthisresolutionusesthetwo-thirdrule.

　　下面例句同一句子里two-third和two-thirds两个兼用：

　　Therulegoverningtrainspeedsstipulatesthatoncertaintracks,

　　thetwo-thirdruleappliestofreighttrains.Itmeansthatthespeedlimitfor

　　afreighttrainisautomaticallytwo-thirdsofthespeedforpassengertrains.
