书虫《远大前程》读后感

　　Inthissummerholidays,Ireadabookcalled,itwaswrittenbyCharlesDickens,oneofthemostfamousEnglishwriters.Hewrotelotsofwonderfulnovels.Thisbookisoneofhiscompositions.

　　Peoplealwaysliketocomparewiththeirfriends.Itisabigfoibleofallthepeople.Ifotherpeoplehavealotofmoney,wealsowanttoberich.Ifallthepeoplearoundusarepoor,wenevermindthatweareverypoor,too.wewillnotashamedbecauseofourfolly.Thisisasocialproblem.

　　Ifweneverpossessanything,wewillnotmindwelostsomething.Sincewedon’twanttobeveryrich,wewillnotfeeldespondbecausepoor.

　　TheprotagonistofthisnovelisPip(Handel).Hisparentsdiedwhenhewasababy.Hissisterhadbroughthimup‘byhand’.HissistermarriedtoJoeGargery,thevillageblacksmith.Theydidn’thavemuchmoney,andPipneverwenttoschooltostudy.Buthewasoftenveryhappy.Becauseallofhisfriendsarelikehim.Itisn’tveryunfortunatetothem,thisistheirlives.Butbyachance,Piphelpedaconvict;hegavemuchfoodtohim.ThenhemetMissHavisham,averystrangeoldwomanandshewasveryrich.

　　Fouryearslater,MissHavishamwantsPiptoberemovedfromhishomeandeducatedasagentlemanwhoexpectsinheritafortunewhenhegrowup.

　　Afterhearingthat.Pipstartedtodespisehispoorfriends.Heevenfeelashamedbecausehelivewiththepoorman.Pip’s‘greatexpectations’destroyedhislife.

　　Thisnoveltoldusthatwecannotcomparewithothers.Don’tfeelenvyattheothersmoney.Andifonedayyoubeveryrich,pleasedon’tdespiseyourpoorfriends.
